There are plenty of things to do and a wide variety of attractions to visit in this beautiful part of Wales.
You could try one of the many footpaths which offer excellent views of the countryside such as the “Mawddach Trail” over Barmouth Bridge or the “Panorama Mountain Walk”, both with views over the Mawddach Estuary, and savour the unique and historic town of Barmouth where the mountains meet the sea.
For mountain biking enthusiasts there is the Coed y Brenin Centre, which offers forestry and hill trails varying from easy family runs to the expert “Bull Run”. It was the first forest to be developed for the sport of mountain biking and to this day retains its reputation as the sports premier location.
Combine your day in the outdoors with a little adventure and not only can you appreciate the breathtaking scenery, but you can also enjoy a smattering of tree-top high-wires, zip wires and tricky crossings! The UK's No.1 tree-top adventure can be found at Coed-y-Brenin. For more information please go to www.goape.co.uk.
